Poverty - Domestic

God identifies with the poor and says that those who “are kind to the poor lend to the Lord” while those who oppress the poor “show contempt for their Maker” (Proverbs 19:17, 14:31). Moreover, God measures societies by how they treat the vulnerable (Isaiah 10:1–4; Jeremiah 5:26–29). We encourage ministries and policy measures that seek justice and compassion for the poor and vulnerable. We advocate for the poor alongside others in the Circle of Protection and Faith for Just Leading coalitions. You can also take immediate action by adding your support for the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
