This year, World Relief celebrates its 80th anniversary. Founded by the National Association of Evangelicals in 1944 to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Europe after World War II, World Relief has spent the last 80 years convening the global church to respond to the world’s greatest crises and to create change that lasts.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the NAE, World Relief continues to represent evangelical engagement with global humanitarian needs and refugee resettlement.

God’s design is that the Church — his manifest presence in the world — would be an instrument of peace and hope. At the center of World Relief’s work is the foundational conviction that the Church can change the world. That’s why everything World Relief does is anchored in and through the local church in communities all around the world.

At this 80-year milestone, we hope you will join with the NAE and World Relief in praying for a better future for all who will come after us — one marked not by the constant increase of war, mass displacement and extreme poverty, but by love, justice and peace.

In the midst of crises, we pray that those experiencing suffering would feel the presence of God through World Relief’s ministry and be restored through the transforming power of Christ — in thriving families, strengthened churches and flourishing communities.
